PLEDGE TAKING CEREMONY ON FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES OF THE CITIZEN ORGANISED ON 23.01.2020
A pledge taking ceremony on Fundamental Duties of the citizens as enshrined in the Article 51A of the Constitution of India was organized in CGDA office on 23rd January 2020 as one of the activities of the Constitution Awareness Campaign 2019-2020. A large number of officers and staff of the office of CGDA participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. Shri Brajesh Kumar Pandey, Sr. Dy. CGDA informed the gathering, the background of inclusion of the Fundamental Duties in the Article 51A of the Constitution of India through 42nd (Amendment) Act in 1976. The Pledge of following the Fundamental Duties of the citizen was administered by Secretary (Defence Finance) Smt Gargi Kaul and the CGDA, Shri Sanjiv Mittal to all the officers and staff present.
The contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was also recalled, 23rd January being his 123rd birth anniversary, on the occasion.
